Orientation for New Graduate Teaching AssistantsThe Institute for Learning and Teaching and the Graduate School are pleased to host the annual Orientation for new Graduate Teaching Assistants. The orientation is sponsored and funded by the Provost, the Graduate School, and the Institute for Learning and Teaching in recognition of the important contributions our GTAs make to instructional excellence at the University. The GTA Orientation addresses key issues related to teaching in classroom and laboratory settings. These issues include the responsibilities and expectations of a graduate teaching assistant, strategies for enhancing teaching and learning, academic integrity, and assessing student performance. The orientation also introduces GTAs to a range of campus resources supporting effective teaching and learning. The overall goal of the orientation is to enhance the effectiveness of undergraduate teaching and learning at Colorado State University.
