The Office of Service-Learning, in partnership with the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement and Community Engagement (SLiCE), is committed to promoting reciprocal and collaborative partnerships between CSU faculty, students, and community agencies. The purpose of service-learning is to create “partnerships of mutual benefit” in which academic course objectives, student interests, and the needs of community groups are balanced and reciprocally supportive. The Office of Service-Learning and SLiCE offer various resources and opportunities for community non-profit agencies to recruit student service-learners, to communicate with CSU faculty, and to gain information about how to access university resources for their service needs.
