The Institute supports a range of opportunities to pursue the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). Key initiatives include bringing key scholars to campus to support efforts to enhance the University's learning environment, sponsorship of working groups (similar to small research centers built around a central instructional issue), and the TILT Colloquium on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, which will launch in Spring 2007. The Institute also supports the preparation of grant proposals that involve the development of significant instructional opportunities for students.
