7.5 hour American Red Cross Certified instruction in the proper use of CPR and AEDs in the event of an emergency. This session costs $69; payment can be by check or IMO. Please send payment prior to the session to Frank Gonzales, Environmental Health Services. Course details how to respond to conscious and unconscious choking, disease transmission prevention, caring for shock, cardiac emergencies, CPR and AED use. First aid instruction in injuries to muscles, joints, bones,the head, neck or back, as well as injuries from burns and heat and cold related emergencies and sudden illnesses in Adults, Infants, and Children. After the class a certification from the American Red Cross is given to those who pass the written test and adequately demonstrate the skills.
