The session will inform participants of the new functionalities and formats contained in PRISM .NET, which is the second generation of CSU's assessment database. The second version was completed in fall 2010. Assessment plan contact persons from academic and student affairs areas would benefit from attending this session. New database additions include: 1) a simplified time line, 2) editing tools that assist formatting of text, 3) new options for adding tabular data in the data findings sections, 4) user access to interactive database reports on assessment activity, and 5) new capacity to modify unit planning templates.
Goals and Target Audience:
The central goal of this session is to expand the action planning knowledge and skills of participants (faculty, staff, and administrators) who use CSU's PRISM database for monitoring their units’ continuous improvement efforts. Information will include new planning functionalities and best practice models for researching unit performance on student learning, faculty research, as well as student affairs service goals and CAS standards. A secondary goal is to inform participants on how this database will be used to support CSU's upcoming regional accreditation site visit and how it can be used to support units' special accreditation needs.
