This session is designed to explore mindfulness meditation and supportive diaphragmatic breath for your daily life. Over the last 20 years, numerous studies have shown these practices to have multiple physical and mental health benefits, which contribute to an overall increase in well-being. The session will begin with an overview of these benefits, offer background on mindfulness and diaphragmatic breath practice, and engage participants in “hands-on” practice of these techniques. A “start where you are” philosophy is embraced and no previous experience is required. Practice sessions will range from 5-15 minutes, followed with time to share experiences and learn from each other.
Goals and Target Audience:
All audiences are welcome.

You will learn coaching skills based on the International Coach Federation (ICF) core competencies. Two certified coach co-leaders will conduct a highly interactive training which will model these skills and allow participants to practice in an environment where nobody gets to be wrong. You will learn the three levels of listening and how to use the skill of powerful questions. You will practice creating a coaching presence using your natural skill of curiosity.
Goals and Target Audience:
To empower managers and supervisors to utilize coaching skills in everyday interactions. Learning Objectives: - Participants will be able to name, recognize and practice the three levels of listening - Participants will understand how questions can be powerful and have increased awareness of their impact - Participants will create a coaching presence by practicing curiosity to formulate their powerful questions

It seems that almost every day there is an item in the news about the benefits of yoga, from stress release to relieving low back pain, flexibility, strength, better balance, improved sleep, and more. But entering the world of yoga can be intimidating for beginning students. In this session, you'll learn how to demystify yoga including: how and why Sanskrit language is used; styles of yoga and how to pick the best one for you; how yoga's history impacts today's current practices; useful reference materials; and much more. You'll leave with a better understanding of all aspects of yoga, and learn the best way to start incorporating the many benefits of yoga into your life.
Goals and Target Audience:
The goal of this session is to provide a basic introduction to the practice of yoga, and answer the many questions surrounding beginning a yoga practice so that participants can enjoy the health and wellbeing that a yoga practice can provide. This workshop will help people interested in beginning a yoga practice but unsure of where to start, as well as those confused by the choices available.

Moving From RamCT To RamCT Blackboard - Ch Ch Changes!

RamCT will transition to a new Learning Management System, RamCT Blackboard, at the start of the summer 2012 semester. RamCT Blackboard is different from RamCT and it will take time to learn. In this session we will look at the transition timeline including the schedule for moving all summer/fall 2011 and spring 2012 RamCT sections to the new system. We will demonstrate a few of the new system features, like the Grade Center, the Notification Center, and the Early Warning System. We’ll tell you about the options for hands-on and online training available to faculty, staff and students, and where to go for support during this transition. Instructors will use spring 2012 to prepare their content in the new system for summer and fall courses.

To raise awareness about CSU's Learning Management System change and to assist faculty, staff and students with the transition from RamCT to RamCT Blackboard.

Now, we have condensed the seminar’s most effective time management techniques and our past year’s experiences into a compact session to share with you! You will learn how to maximize your productivity by applying a few guiding principles involving your physical workspace, Outlook account, workflow management, as well as a self developed plan of action. The best part about this session will be the tangible tools you will take away. This will be a great session for the person who is overloaded with work and no idea where to begin as well as those that would just like to take their current time management skills to the next level.
