Introduction to a transformational coaching model to enhance trust and build healthy working relationships. Supervisors will learn how coaching can foster a motivational and supportive work culture. The coaching framework will offer actionable steps for leaders to incorporate into their daily operations. This 1.5 hour session will offer inspiration and solutions to successfully manage difficult situations.
Goals and Target Audience:
The goal of this program is for leaders to gain an understanding of: 1) The difference between a boss and a coach; 2) The different types of coaching; 3) How to apply coaching in current role. Participants will practice their new skills throughout the presentation by engaging in various activities and role play scenarios.

The Recruitment & Selection Services - State Classified Employment session will seek to educate the campus community about the State Classified hiring process from start to finish. Beginning with a foundational definition of what the State Classification system is, the Employment Office's Role in recruitment, a glimpse of important legislation changes that have updated our policies and procedures, and ending with updates and improvements to our overall hiring processes.
Goals and Target Audience:
This session is intended for: 1) Hiring Managers/Supervisors that are interested in filling a State Classified position, or frequently fill State Classified position looking for more information on how the process works. 2) HR Liaisons that are involved in filling State Classified positions and represent their department in recruiting opportunities. 3) Employees interested in applying for State Classified positions and desire a better understanding of the hiring process.
