This workshop will focus on answering the questions you didn't know how to ask, how to ask respectful questions, and generally how to make sure you're respecting trans people. We will go over the basics of what it means to be trans, practice using different pronoun sets and names for people, as well as answer questions you were too afraid to ask. Participants will be expected to ask questions, do some short free writing, as well as do informal role playing situations with others in the session.
Goals and Target Audience:
Target Audience: anyone who wants to learn more about how to respectfully interact with trans people; anyone who wants to learn more about trans people Goals: This workshop aims to create a safe space to ask questions; participants will learn to craft respectful questions; participants will learn new ways of addressing people, including pronoun sets other than he/him and she/her; participants will unpack some of the harmful myths about trans people that can create toxic interactions

This collaborative session will discuss vanpooling as a cost-saving, stress-saving commute to the University. If you live outside Fort Collins, please come to this session to learn about vanpools forming from your hometown to help you save money while someone else takes care of the driving you home.

Learn about federated authentication and how to install a Shibboleth service provider. Shibboleth is an open source federated access management technology that has been widely adopted by academic institutions worldwide to facilitate anytime/anywhere access to higher education, government and commercial e-resources. Colorado State University is using Shibboleth to access many federated systems on and off campus. Session topics include: * Shibboleth overview * Installation and configuration of a prototype Shibboleth service provider in a Linux virtual machine environment * Connecting a Shibboleth service provider to the CSU Federation This is a hands-on session. You must bring a laptop with VMWare Player installed to complete the outlined tasks.
Goals and Target Audience:
This session will provide attendees technical installation and configuration experience with a Shibboleth service provider. Content has been developed for CSU IT professionals new to Shibboleth, or for individuals assuming responsibilities at their college or department with existing Shibboleth deployments.
