Description:
YouSeeU is an educational technology platform, providing synchronous and asynchronous environments that enrich the online learning experience through student and instructor-generated video. Higher education institutions are using YouSeeU to conduct high-engagement activities such as oral communication assessment, spontaneous response Q&A, presentations, and student demonstrations of key skills. CSU recently signed an agreement with YouSeeU making the platform available to all instructors and students through Canvas.
Goals and Target Audience:
Goals: Discuss the benefits of incorporating video-enriched assignments into the curriculum and show how that is possible through Canvas using YouSeeU. Part of the session will be “hands on” with an opportunity to build “ready for class” video based assignments. Target: Educators interested in extending their connection with students through synchronous and asynchronous video.
