At some point we may be faced with an emergency situation, such as medical, natural disaster, fire, biological/chemical/radiation exposure, etc. which will cause a disruption in the workplace. Sometimes these are large and take some time. Do you know your department's plan for events at work that could be dangerous or interrupt your schedules and facilities, or maybe even cause injuries? Let's talk.
Goals and Target Audience:
To learn whether your department has a plan. If not, develop a basic outline.
To learn how to engage employees with the most likely emergency situations that could occur in your department.
To learn what your role is in addressing emergency issues.
To learn about the need for after action reviews and ‘head and heart’ recovery.
To develop a 'pocket plan' for yourself to overcome any disruptive emergency situation.
All CSU employees can use the skills developed and 'renewed' in this class.
One hour class with ability to hold small group discussions.
