This session will cover the CSU Background Check Process and Policy. This will include the workflow, Talent Management System and email requests, and required background checks.
Goals and Target Audience:
To provide information on CSU's Background Check Policy, how HR processes Background Checks in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and guidelines for departments on successfully requesting a Background Check screening. Target audience is HR personnel and other hiring staff who submit Background Check requests.

This presentation will provide background on the ADA and ADAAA, as well as the protections extended by these acts, give an overview of the accommodation process through the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO), and provide resources for the CSU community.
Goals and Target Audience:
The goal is to increase awareness about the ADA services in OEO, the process for obtaining accommodations through OEO, and resources on campus. The target audience is any employee, volunteer, student, supervisor, or community member interested in learning about ADA employment protections and resources at CSU.

This session will cover the purpose and basics behind the Form I-9. Breadth of information will include, but is not limited to: acceptable documents, completing Section 1 & 2 in the electronic system, proper procedures for reverification of employment authorization, From I-9 completed for J-1, F-1, & H-1B employees, receipts, making corrections, setting up remote agents, and preventing common errors.
Goals and Target Audience:
To understand the proper procedures for completing the Form I-9 to enable the successful completion of the form in CSU’s electronic processing system. Target audience is HR Liaisons and other hiring staff who work with employees to complete the Form I-9 electronically.

These resources have been created as a response to feedback received over the last two years. We will also provide details of upcoming features in the Talent Management System (TMS).
