Description:
The Trauma Resource Institute, teaches 6 practices for helping to support communities with high stress and trauma. In this introductory session you will learn basics about your nervous system, and some of the skills that can support your wellbeing. We will also discuss an upcoming training at CSU where you can learn these skills in more depth.

Description:
This session offers a "sampler" of mindfulness practice tools designed to address our challenging times including stress reduction and relaxation, increased focus and concentration, and overall well-being. Participants will be invited to engage in “hands-on” guided mindfulness practices, ranging from 5-10 minutes. An example of a practice technique is focused breath meditation. A short question and answer period, within your comfort level, will follow each practice to share in the chat box so that we can learn from each other’s experiences. Everyone is welcome and beginners are encouraged to attend.

Description:
New federal mandates issued during the 2020 summer have prompted changes to our University process and policy related to sexual misconduct and interpersonal violence, Come learn more about your role as a Responsible Employee at CSU in light of these changes, learn more about the changes to University policy and process, and learn effective ways to support your students through this process. If you've attended a similar session previously, this session will include information on updated reporting requirements and University policy. This session will also include information about the University response to reports of this nature to best prepare and work with your students.
Goals and Target Audience:
Session open to all employees of the University to include faculty, staff, volunteers, and student employees. Goals will include learning about employees' obligation to report incidents related to sexual misconduct and/or interpersonal violence, learning about the University response and University policy, and best and most effective ways to support survivors throughout this process.

Description:
Tell Someone is a CSU service where anyone can report concerns about a student or employee who may be struggling with issues such as mental health, stress management, and safety, as well as share concerns about threats of violence (against themselves or others). This presentation will discuss warning signs someone might be experiencing a difficult situation, when and how to support, and what you can expect in filing a Tell Someone report.
