Equitable Community Engagement: Adaptations and Beyond the Global Pandemic
Monday, January 11th 2021
Since many on-site precautionary measures have been instituted in response to the global pandemic, methods of community engagement currently require highly flexible adaptations. New opportunities and creative solutions for meaningful community engagement will be shared in this session to meet these circumstances. Expanding equitable approaches to community engagement, service-learning, and community-based research are being called for more than ever before. Drawing from our national Campus Compact research, and paired with voices from our local community organizations, a menu of options for re-imagining community partnerships, course curriculum, and research will be presented. Everyone is welcome and there will be ample time for discussion. A resource list will be shared.
Goals and Target Audience:
