Mixing Old and New: Exploring Student Engagement and Inclusion Post COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to drastically change the way we do things. We now use Zoom and Teams, attend virtual events, host virtual meetings, and forget that we are “on mute”. Through all of this we have discovered new ways to engage students and create inclusive environments. This session aims to explore how after the pandemic is over, we can combine what we know now with what we were doing before to maximize student engagement and inclusion.
Goals and Target Audience:
Assist staff and faculty in thinking more critically about how to engage students after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Assist staff and faculty in thinking more critically about how to create inclusive spaces after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Encourage staff and faculty to maximize their use of technology to engage students.
