CommuniTea: Connect, Reflect, and Engage

CommuniTea symbol of a warm coffee cup with the words "Come as you are, stay as long as you'd like" underneathTake a refreshing break and join fellow instructors from across campus for informal conversations over tea, coffee, and light refreshments. CommuniTea is a new gathering where instructors from across campus can come together in a relaxed setting to share perspectives, spark ideas, and build community – no pressure, just conversation over coffee and tea.

Hosted by TILT, CommuniTea is open to all instructors, including faculty, adjuncts, postdocs, graduate teaching assistants, and instructional staff. No preparation, no formal agenda – just an opportunity to meet and engage with peers and build connections across disciplines. TILT staff will be present to help facilitate discussions, but the space is designed to be instructor-driven, responsive, and supportive.
Each session will introduce a thought-provoking topic – one without a single answer but rich with insights from diverse experiences. Whether you want to contribute your thoughts or simply listen in, you’re welcome to join, reflect, and enjoy the conversation.

Our next discussion asks: How might we create and foster learning spaces that acknowledge the whole person—both ourselves and our students—beyond intellectual and academic dimensions?
