Honors Undergraduate Research Scholars
The Honors Undergraduate Research Scholars program fosters and supports high-performing undergraduate students in research and artistry experiences. Collaborating with a faculty mentor, students accepted into the HURS program will be actively engaged in independent research, experience the investigative process, and expand core knowledge in a manner that will advance their academic careers, as well as their prospective career opportunities.
HURS students can look forward to:
- Becoming an active member of a team working on a current research project, or developing and conducting your own project under the supervision of a faculty mentor.
- Participating in workshops with their HURS peers on topics related to the research process, and presenting their work at our annual symposium, the Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity Showcase (CURC).
- Attending informal meetings and social events at which you will have ample opportunity to interact—in a relaxed setting—with your fellow HURS scholars, as well as graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty researchers.
