Dr. Kalpana Gupta is an assistant professor in the Adult Education and Training program, and brings more than 15 years of experience in adult education, training, and development.
She holds an Ed.D in adult and post-secondary education from the University of Wyoming, an M.A. in liberal studies with an emphasis on adult education and development from Regis University, and B.S. in business/retail management from Philadelphia University.
Dr. Gupta’s research areas of interest include creating inclusive learning environments that encompass self-directed and transformative experiences. She specializes in faculty development, curriculum and program design, and blended and online delivery methods.
In 2020, Dr. Gupta received the CSU Provost’s N. Preston Davis Award for Instructional Innovation, for her efforts to enhance the advisee experience through the use of the online self-directed advising portal. She was also appointed a Global Teaching Scholar, and will serve as an instructor during the Semester at Sea Fall 2021 voyage.
