Astronaut Scholarship Information Session

The Office for Scholarship and Fellowship Advising and the Astronaut Scholarship Selection Committee are pleased to announce the opening of the 2026 Astronaut Scholarship Competition.

The Astronaut Scholarship is a prestigious nationally competitive award given to rising juniors and seniors in the STEM fields (those with graduate dates between spring 2027 and spring 2028) who have excelled academically (3.8 GPA or higher) and demonstrated potential as researchers. Recipients of this award receive up to $15,000 for educational expenses. More information about the award can be found here: Astronaut Scholarship.

The Selection Committee invites faculty to nominate students for this award. To nominate a student, please fill out a 2026 nomination form and submit a letter of support to [email protected]. Nomination forms are due by Friday, February 27. One additional letter of support from a faculty member and the student’s application materials are due to the committee by Sunday, March 1 at 11:59pm.
