Responsible AI Week is a new initiative at CSU focused on empowering students to understand and adopt ethical and responsible practices when using artificial intelligence (AI). Hosted by TILT in partnership with the Career Center and the CSU Library, this week-long event (April 6-10, 2026) will feature engaging sessions to explore AI’s impact on academics, careers, and beyond. Highlights include an interactive kickoff event, thought-provoking discussions on ethical dilemmas, and practical guidance on using AI for career success.

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into education and the workforce, Responsible AI Week provides valuable tools and insights to help students navigate this technology responsibly.

This session is a wide-open, student-driven conversation that starts with the big ethical questions around generative AI and works its way into the choices you’re making in your classes right now. Professors Ed Lessor and Kelly Bradbury are here to facilitate, not lecture, so bring your opinions.

Research in the Age of AI: Can You Trust What AI Tells You?

AI is changing how information is created, found, and shared. In this hands-on session, you’ll explore how AI is being used in research, discuss the specific challenges for finding and evaluating information in the AI era, and compare using AI tools and library research tools in order to research more effectively and responsibly. If possible, please bring a laptop to test and compare tools!

In this session, you’ll learn how to read and interpret AI policies across your classes, figure out when AI helps your learning and when it gets in the way, and pick up strategies for having productive conversations with professors when you’re unsure what’s allowed
