Graduate Student Mentor Training Opportunities October 13 and 20

Are you mentoring undergraduate students or supporting your graduate peers? Join us for free mentor training designed specifically for graduate students. These interactive sessions will help you practice strategies for building productive mentor/mentee relationships, explore campus resources, and discuss challenges you may be facing.

Graduate Student Mentor Trainings

  • Session 1: Aligning Expectations & Effective Communication — Monday, Oct. 13 – 4-7 PM – Microbiology B120

  • Session 2: Mental Health, Wellbeing, & Mentoring Philosophy — Monday, Oct. 20 – 4-7 PM – GradSpace (General Services Building, Suite 203)

Graduate students who complete both sessions will be eligible to participate in our mentor training evaluation study and may receive up to $300 in gift cards. Food and materials are provided.

These sessions are supported by the CSU Graduate School, the Office for Undergraduate Research and Artistry, the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology.
