Presentation Description: This session will be hosted as a radio-style interview session with content-area experts in generative AI. We will focus on explaining how generative AI works, the ways in which it prompts us to think about equity in use and in AI products, and some of the ways educators can think about use of generative AI in writing assessments. The goal of the session is to get participants thinking about ways to approach generative AI that teach critical and ethical thinking, maintain the need for academic risk-taking, and enhance the connection between writing and knowledge generation itself.
