On July 23, the Admissions Fair — one of the first in-person large-attendance admissions events since Spring 2020 — saw over 195 perspective HS students and admitted first-year students. Cheyanne Izon, from the Journal of Undergraduate Research, and Debra Dandaneau, from the Office for Undergraduate Research, spoke to students interested in majors across the university. JUR provided copies of their journals, as well as their publications from prior years’ Celebrate undergraduate Research (CURC) events, which were used to show future students some examples of research and artistry in their field of choice. They also worked a similar event for new incoming CSU students during the RamWelcome Street Fair on August 20.
