We are excited to announce the release of the TILT (The Institute for Learning and Teaching) Annual Report for the 2023-2024 academic year! This year’s report highlights significant achievements and continued dedication to fostering both faculty development and student success at Colorado State University (CSU). As part of TILT’s mission, we continue to champion innovative and inclusive teaching practices that empower educators and students alike to reach their fullest potential.
Over the past year, TILT supported 1,121 faculty, staff, and graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) through various development programs, including the popular Best Practices in Teaching (BPiT) courses and the Teaching Effectiveness Initiative. Additionally, the TILT Summer Conference saw a remarkable 159% increase in attendance, highlighting the growing commitment to enhancing teaching practices across the university.
On the student side, TILT served more than 7,341 students through tutoring, learning assistant programs, and other academic support services. A particular point of pride is the 42 nationally competitive scholarships won by CSU students, totaling $1.48 million. The Office for Undergraduate Research and Artistry (OURA) supported 658 undergraduate researchers, providing a robust foundation for their future academic and professional endeavors.
