The TEI for Professional Development & Annual Review of Teaching

1.) Choose 1-2 TEF Domains to develop as you progress through the TEI Program
- You may start with any TEF domain but if you don’t know where to start, TILT recommends that you begin with Inclusive Pedagogy.
2.) Select TILT trainings or other professional development (PD) experiences related to TEF domains of interest
- Review the DEU point allotments for each PD experience on the TEI Pre-Approved Professional Development or DEU Equivalents by PD Experience, you must earn 10 domain experience units (DEU) to earn a domain
3.) Sign up for the trainings
- Review and sign up for PD opportunities TILT Events, Trainings from the Office of Inclusive Excellence, and Talent Development
- You can add the meetings your outlook calendar by clicking on the .ics attachment sent with the email confirming registration
4.) Complete the training(s)
- Schedule time in your calendar each week to stay on track with the training(s)
5.) Apply what you learned in PD and implement the changes in your teaching
- Keep track of the changes and their impact on students
6.) Get feedback from students and/or colleagues specific to the targeted TEF domains
- Obtain student feedback via CANVAS course surveys using SmartEvals or Qualtrics
- Obtain feedback from colleagues using the TILT peer observation forms from the Teaching Squares Program
7.) Complete and submit the TEI Post-Implementation Reflection Form
- Incorporate the feedback from students and/or colleagues (e.g., TEI_ReflectionExemplar_First Four Weeks Course
- Submit the reflection to Bridge/MyLearning (Video: How to submit a TEI reflection [2:27])
8.) Review TILT’s feedback to your reflection forms in Bridge/MyLearning
- Recommendation: download or print a pdf of the returned reflection with TILT’s feedback
