Teaching Squares Kick Off: (Residential/Hybrid Faculty / Online Faculty)

Teaching Squares allows faculty, instructors, and GTAs to observe each other, learn from each other, and support each other in their quest to become better teachers. It is designed to be a non-evaluative, supportive, growth-based process and is open to residential and online instructors. The program uses observation forms based on the Teaching Effectiveness Framework, and a feedback protocol. The program takes about 16 hours over the course of the semester.

Due to the teaching and community focus of the program, participants must be teaching a course and are expected to attend the initial training plus the two 90-minute feedback sessions in addition to observing one class session for each colleague in your square during each observation cycle.
