From AI User to AI Architect: Two Semesters of Experimentation in Marketing Courses

This session shares lessons from integrating generative AI across two marketing courses with similar undergraduate students — most of whom arrived using AI like a search engine. In both courses, students progressed from treating AI as a thinking partner to designing custom “Synthetic Stakeholders” that challenged their work. In Product Design, these AI systems stress-tested prototypes. In International Marketing, the approach evolved further: students now build AI workflows mirrored on corporate practice, developing systems intended for real organizational use alongside their strategic recommendations.
