Teaching Excellence Network (TEN)
As of August 2025, the Master Teacher Initiative (MTI) is now the Teaching Excellence Network (TEN).
While the name has changed, the program’s mission and goals remain the same: Continue to bring CSU faculty together to share ideas, address common teaching challenges, and advance the quality of teaching across the university.
This rebranding reflects the program’s collaborative and inclusive nature and aligns more closely with CSU’s values. We invite you to connect with the TEN Coordinator(s) in your college to learn more.
Overview
The Teaching Excellence Network (TEN) is a University-wide program to enhance the quality of teaching within CSU’s colleges and libraries.
The Objectives Are:
- To underscore the importance of quality teaching within the context of the University’s overall mission
- To provide opportunities for faculty from across a college to address common teaching interests and concerns
- To contribute to the creation of a culture where the scholarship of teaching is valued and appreciated
TEN Tip of the Week
Each Monday, the College TEN coordinator sends an email message containing a brief teaching tip.
Each tip is a short five-ten minute “food-for-thought” type of read.
